The problem

You are paying to make the phone ring.
Then missing it.

This is the cheapest problem on the list to fix, and usually the fastest to pay back, because the demand already exists.

What it looks like

Does this sound familiar?

The phone rings while you are up a ladder, mid-treatment, driving, or with another customer. You call back forty minutes later and they have already booked someone else.

Voicemail is full of hangups. Evenings and weekends are a dead zone. You have thought about hiring someone to answer, and the arithmetic has never quite worked.

You do not know how many you have missed, because a missed call that never leaves a message leaves no trace anywhere.

Why it happens

This is not a judgement on your work.

When somebody needs a roofer, a dentist or an emergency plumber, they do not call one number. They call three, and they book whoever picks up first.

Most people will not leave a voicemail for a business they have never used. There is no relationship to justify the effort, and there are two more numbers on the screen.

So the money you spent to generate that call — the ads, the ranking, the profile — all of it is spent at the moment the phone rings. Everything before that point is a cost you have already incurred.

What it costs

Nobody sends you a bill for this.

This is the only problem on this list where you have already paid for the customer and then lost them at the final step.

Every other gap costs you people who never found you. This one costs you people who found you, chose you, and dialled.

It is also the easiest to size. Count the missed calls on your phone for one week and multiply by what a job is worth. Most owners are unpleasantly surprised, because the number was always there and nobody had added it up.

What we do about it

The work, in order.

01

Measure it before fixing it

One week of call data. How many rang out, when, and what happened next. We do not propose a fix before the size of the problem is on paper.

02

Answer every call, day or night

An AI receptionist picks up on the first ring at 2am and on a Sunday, takes the details, and books into your calendar.

03

Trained on your business, not a script

It knows what you do, what you do not do, your service area and your prices. A generic answering service that cannot answer a basic question is worse than voicemail.

04

Everything logged

Every call transcribed and recorded so you can see exactly what was said and what was booked.

How long it takes

An honest timeline.

Week 1
Call audit. You see the real number of missed calls, which is usually the moment this stops being theoretical.
Week 2
Setup and training on your services, hours and area.
Weeks 3–4
Live, monitored closely. We listen to real calls and correct what it gets wrong.
Ongoing
Refinement as real questions come in. Payback here is measured in weeks, not months.
